2. At night or un-social hours, another option is to alert a friend of your journey with details on the number plate of the vehicle, as well as pick up and destination details.

3. Request for the driver's ID. taxi drivers are legally obliged to show you their IDs or license. You can report to the Taxi Licensing Authorities if a driver has refused to show you their identification.
